Bradley Manning and Wikileaks

The trial has begun of the 24 year old soldier accused of supplying classified information to the website Wikileaks.

Some are saying that he is gay with gender issues and felt uncomfortable in the army with 'don't ask, don't tell'.  This may have left him feeling angered and disillusioned when he found a way to smuggle the information to the website.

He has been kept without a trial for around a year and protestors say he should not be on trial for 'exposing war crimes' (some of his info included unprovoked attacks on Iraqi civilians).

Julian Assange has been given the right to appeal his extradition to Sweden.  As much as I am uncomfortable with the man himself, there still seems to be something odd about the alleged sex offence cases.  If he goes to Sweden it will be easier for America to get him as well.  Extradited once and it can happen again.

This all does raise questions about what America is trying to hide...
