Five things I learned this week

Every week I am going to try and say five things I learned each week either through the news, or my own experience.

1. The guy who voices this character (Makoto) in Free is also the vocalist who sings the opening themes for both series (Iwatobi Swim Club and Eternal Summer).

 



2. Creme Eggs don't taste the same now Kraft changed the recipe...they just don't!

3. I should be more patient with my poor car as it has been cold lately and now the thing is pissed at me and won't work properly.

4. The Sun are not to be trusted. One minute they are ending Page 3 and the next they are not. Arse.

5. This is a real fashion thing! Having your penis on display!

Why we need International Women's Day

There are so many reasons why we need International Women's Day. Here are just a few reasons why this day is so important. Pay gap: Between 1997 and 2015 the pay gap remained the same . As wages appeared to rise the gap stayed the same between men and women. Last year it was reported that the gap was so wide that from 9 November until the end of 2015 women were effectively working for free ! Exact details are hard to put here because there are so many different sources, but the facts in the articles linked above speak for themselves. Rape statistics: Around 85,000 women and 12,000 men are raped in England and Wales every year! That is shocking statistics. The sad fact is that many victims of rape will know their attacker and they are often not strangers. Victim blaming means that many people worry about the reaction of others should they come forward and many more rapes are not reported. Yes it would appear that more women than men are raped and that is very likely the case

My favourite...Japanese actors and actresses

I am going to use the naming convention that the Japanese do where the family name goes first and the given name goes second. I thought I would go into more detail about some of my favourite actors and actresses from Japan and some of my favourite films/TV shows that they have been in.
